LIVI Video Consultations
See a GP by video with Livi. Even at the weekend.
Patients of Stratton Medical Centre can now see an NHS GP by video using Livi (coming soon for Holsworthy and Hatherleigh).
Get medical advice, prescriptions and referrals on the same day – both on weekday evenings and at weekends. The service is provided free on the NHS.

Livi GPs are all GMC-registered NHS GPS, who (with your consent) will be able to access your medical records and give you a considered, in-depth diagnosis based on your medical history.

Patient On-Line (All Patients)
Patient On-Line gives you access to the online services for Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and Stratton practices. This includes arranging appointments, repeat medication, secure messages, medical record and updating your details. You can book an appointment online via the link at the top of this page.
You will need to be registered for this service. Please bring ID with you to do this so that we can verify your identity. For patient confidentiality reasons we are only able to give this on-line details to the patient to whom they belong unless proxy access consents are in place. Please ask at reception about this.
To ensure the highest levels of continuity of care you will be offered appointments with your own GP for anything other than emergencies. Every patient at Holsworthy, Hatherleigh and Stratton is allocated a named GP. If you do not know who your named GP is please ask.
Ring our main switchboard number on 01409 253692 (HOLSWORTHY & HATHERLEIGH) or 01288 352133 (STRATTON) to book an appointment with your doctor, the Emergency Team (consisting of Nurse Practitioners and GPs), or a member of the Nursing Team.
If your regular doctor is not available and you require an emergency appointment you will be offered an appointment with either our Emergency Team (if it is a condition of sudden on-set or an existing condition that has got worse) or another doctor. Telephone consultations can be booked as well as face-to-face appointments.
Should you wish to see a doctor other than your regular doctor for a specific problem, please state this at the time of booking.
We offer pre-booked appointments, up to two months in advance.
Early Morning Appointments
We also offer early morning appointments at Holsworthy for those patients who cannot attend the practice in normal working hours starting at 07:40.
Telephone Advice Appointments
Telephone advice appointments are available with a doctor or nurse. Please request a telephone appointment and you will be given a time when the doctor or nurse will call you on the telephone number you have given. If you are using a mobile phone please keep your phone on and make sure you have a strong signal.
Our doctors typically see six patients in the practice in the time it takes to do a single home visit. For this reason, we ask our patients to come to the practice if at all possible.
However, members of our Visiting Team (Nurse Practitioners and paramedics) can visit you at home if your condition means you cannot attend at a Medical Centre.
Please ring before 10:30am to arrange a visit and let us know if your condition is urgent. As visits are conducted throughout the day, and our team members have to travel considerable distances between patients occasionally, we cannot specify an exact time when you will be visited. If your condition deteriorates before we are able to get to you and you need urgent assistance please call 999.
The practice offers appointments from 07:40, Monday to Friday at our Holsworthy site. These appointments may be with a doctor or a nurse, and can be booked in advance by telephone or using the online booking system.
Also at Holsworthy we offer Improved Access appointments for our Devon patients on a Thursday evening until 20:00 and alternate Saturdays from 09:00 – 12:30. These appointments are pre-bookable and, during the pandemic, are telephone consultations. Please be aware that we do not operate a walk-in service during these hours.

To request an appointment please use our Online Consultation service above, where you will be given either an online consultation, telephone appointment or face to face appointment as appropriate. Alternatively, please register for online services below.
Cancel an Appointment
It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.
You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.
Text Reminder Service
We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
